Life is a funny thing. I think most of us fear reaching the end of our life and looking back regretting the moments we didn’t speak up. When we didn’t say ‘I love you’. When we should’ve said ‘I’m sorry’. So, there’s a time for silence, and a time for waiting your turn. But if you know how you feel and you so clearly know what you need to say, and you know it; I don’t think you should wait. I think you should Speak Now.
Tell me, did you sail across the sun? Did you make it to the Milky Way and see the lights all faded, and that Heaven is overrated? Tell me, did you fall for a shooting star? One without a permanent scar? And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there?
Often, when we ask questions,we aren’t really looking for the truth. Or at least, the whole truth. We’re looking for some candy-coated version of the truth that will satisfy us until we’re prompted to ask the question again, or more often than not, let down because the truth we received wasn’t ever the truth at all. Sometimes, for us to be able to properly move on and get the closure we need in life, we need to have the ability and strength to seek the actual truth, no matter how much we hate to hear it.
